BOOKS I READ
BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY’S
This was the kind of book that I’m glad I read, however it’s not a book I fell in love with.
ONE OF US IS LYING
This was pretty basic in the sense of it being a story about school drama and towards the end I had a feeling I knew what was going to happen (my friend called it from the start) but overall it was fun.
THE CHAOS OF LONGING
A really nice poetry collection that was my first book from Netgalley, I didn’t overly connect to it but some of the poems hit home.
DEPRESSION AND OTHER MAGIC TRICKS
A poetry collection that focused on depression and other magic tricks (that was obvious) alot of these hit home as I deal with depression and while overall I didn’t like the poetry collection or how it was written per say, it was important.
THE UNBECOMING OF MARA DYER
WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW my first 4.75 star read of the month, I was lying down in bed at like 7pm one night and wanted to pick up a book to read. I remembered reading the first chapter of this ages ago, so I picked it up and binged it, finishing at around midnight and I’m SO glad I did it.
This was a very raw and honest poetry collection that left me hurting for the author for what she had to deal with. It talked about abuse and such. Overall it was a decent read.
This was even better than the first one in terms of the storyline moving forward and learning how stuffed up the characters are. I REALLY can’t wait for this series to continue (i.e spend ALL my money on buying the rest of them)
TASTE OF BLUE LIGHT
This was such a heartfelt novel that pulled on all my strings, it had plot twists that I never saw coming, and honestly it had amazing characters. This story felt like it actually might have happened to someone you know.
My penpal loved this book, so I HAD to pick it up and overall it was REALLY fun, it was full of complex characters and an intriguing plot, I really enjoyed it but it didn’t wow me
THE LAST NAMSARA
This was amazing honestly, dragons, plot twists, strong characters. I genuinely loved everything about this book, but it wasn’t the kind to get a 5 star rating
This was everything I was expecting, it was so much fun and I loved all the characters as much as in the first book. I was constantly worried for Mia and what she was doing but in the end everything was just os perfect.
