So, this month was a bit of a mess. I had to work alot more hours than I’m used to, and it put me in a reading slump, so while I managed to get LOADS of posts done ( I posted nearly every day!) I didn’t get alot of reading done.
ARTEMIS – ANDY WEIR
THIS WAS SO GOOD. This follows the main character Jazz, a smuggler, as she gets contracted to do something very illegal. Pretty much EVERYTHING goes wrong, and we have the classic Andy Weir humor tagging along on the journey.
UNDER ROSE TAINTED SKIES – LOUISE GORNALL
THIS IS SO SWEET.
She saved HERSELF. Romance didn’t fix everything. Mental illnesses are okay. Counselling helps. Medication isn’t evil. THIS JUST HAD SO MANY GOOD POINTS IN IT THAT IM SO HAPPY ASDFGHJKL SO GLAD I READ THIS
PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND MISTLETOE – MELISSA DE LA CRUZ
This was tooth rottingly sweet. It felt like eating a bowl of sugar. It was a really cute and fluffy Christmas read and I’d totally recommend it to lovers of fluff and romance and sit com drama. BUT if you’re looking for a accurate modern day retelling, this won’t be for you.
THE BEAR AND THE NIGHTINGALE – KATHRINE ARDEN
AMAZING BEAUTIFUL AND ASTONISHING I LOVED THIS SO MUCh
This was so beautiful and poetic and it felt like a Russian fairytale turned YA and it was just perfect, I devoured this so fast and I don’t regret a second of it. I cant wait to read the sequel azsxdcfghjkl
STALKING JACK THE RIPPER – KERRI MANISCALCO
Wow wow wow, i get what the hype is about. A love interest that fosters the interests of the main character? A main character who wants to do good in the world, and a unveiling that some might not have even guessed? This was such a fun ride
SLASHER GIRLS AND MONSTER BOYS – VARIOUS AUTHORS
2.5 honestly???? I liked, 2 stories out of this. Another 2 were well written but unappealing and lacking in certain things and the rest just… weren’t for me at all
THE HATE U GIVE – ANGIE THOMAS
Wowowowowowowowow this was so powerful and amazing I’m honestly not sure what to say but everyone should pick this up. Honestly I don’t even know how to explain what this book made me feel, but it was so important.
till next time,
