5 books I REALLY want to read before 2018 is up.
So there are alot of books I want to read but of course, i want to read some more than others so I decided to pick 5 books I both really want to read, and books that I think I WILL read.
PRINCE OF THORNS – MARK LAWRENCE
I think when I’m in the mood for something dark & gritty, I’ll pick this up for a few reasons. Last year, RED SISTER was one of my favourite reads with beautiful world building & realistic characters. From the moment I read that? I heard about the unlikable Jorg from Prince of thorns and just KNEW one day I would read about him, then I reviewed a collection of short stories from jorgs books, and really found myself enjoying his character & thus I can’t wait to finally pick up his book.
TURTLES ALL THE WAY DOWN – JOHN GREEN
I’ve never read a john green book. I’m not normally a fan of books that are meant to break your heart and stuff, so I never picked up one of his because I either felt like that would happen, or it just didn’t interest me. But the positive reviews for this novel, and it’s subject matter really intrigued me so I picked it up & can’t wait to give him a go.
THE RETRIBUTION OF MARA DYER – MICHELLE HODKIN
I have adored the first two books in this series, going months in between reading each one and then devouring the book in a matter of hours and I think it’s about time I read the conclusion to this amazing trilogy so I can finally pick up the new Noah Shaw book
GEMINA – AMIE KAUFMAN & JAY KRISTOFF
I read & adored Illuminae in 2017 and I really want to follow that up by reading & adoring Gemina in 2018 so I can read Obsidio as soon as it comes out & finally get to see what happens to some of my favourite characters.
THE BOOK THEIF – MARKUS ZUSACK
I am one of those people who watched the movie and didn’t read the book and what a shame that was because I adored the movie, I found it heart breaking & beautiful so I think it’s time I finally pick up the novel & get my heart shattered again
So that’s it, 5 books I really want to read before 2018 is out, I’m hoping that by the time 2018 ends, I won’t be sitting here looking at this post and wincing because, oops I didn’t even pick up a single book! Well, I can only cross my fingers and hope that doesn’t happen
What are some books you really want to read in 2018? tell me in the comments below
