Hi guys and welcome to another post of top 5 Tuesday, a tag hosted by the lovely Shanah, over at thebionicbookworm. Today, I’ll be talking about…
5 BOOKS THAT I DIDN’T LIKE THAT OTHERS DID!
so let’s get into it shall we?
STRANGE WEATHER – JOE HILL
I see this has a pretty decent rating on goodreads, and when I read it, I gave it a 2.5 stars! I just found that these stories felt unfinished and like they were missing something!
2. DIVIDING EDEN – JOELLE CHARBONNEAU
I really don’t know why I didn’t like this one, the premise is right up my alley but I found myself constantly dragging my heels in reading this and being completley uninterested!
3. FROSTBLOOD – ELLY BLAKE
Overall I know this one got an average response, but alot of people I know and trust review wise, actually gave this a very decent rating, so I picked it up with slightly higher hopes than I should have, and was disappointed by the writing style and the plot.
4. STRANGE THE DREAMER – LAINI TAYLOR
I actually really enjoyed Daughter of Smoke and Bone which I read AFTER this novel, but this one really didn’t grip me. I loved the poetic writing style of Laini’s, but I couldn’t get into the story or characters
5. POISON STUDY – MARIA V SNYDER
This one flat out bored me, I ended up skipping passages throughout this novel and skim read the last third just so I could find out what happened at the end, I really wasn’t into the romance or the plot.
And that’s it! Honestly I don’t tend to hate many books, and when I do, I DNF them so I don’t record them on Goodreads, so maybe I’ve blocked a few from my mind that I totally hated, but these were all pretty mediocre in my opinion.
until next time,
