I remember when I was a child, I would complain about days, and weeks dragging on, now, they feel like grains of sand slipping through my fingers. Unstoppable & ruthless.

It’s time to wrap up December in a new fashion & I can’t wait to show it to you, so why keep you waiting?

GOODBYE DECEMBER!

DECEMBER, WHAT DID YOU BRING ME?

This year in December, I graduated. I was sitting beside my best friend for 6 hours, I tripped up the stairs, felt like I was going to vomit, and had the time of my life.

I also spent the days before Christmas nursing a man flu (Sad to say, I am a horrible person when I even get a whiff of being sick. People should know by now to lock me up in my room and refuse to let me out for a while)

I created my 2019 bullet journal. There’s even a post for it right HERE. I’ve had my good days & bad days with my bujo but I have big plans for 2019 and I need to be organised for them!

I got some awesome bookmail. Even though I’m so behind on reviews, the publishers are so good to me & spoilt me rotten this month with two review books!

I got my Instagram game back. I know, it’s not something most people would list as an accomplishment, but I am PROUD! Shout out to faerietalecandles for starting a kiwi group chat and giving me the mojo to get back into taking photos.

I also got my blogging game back. I came back with a new style, new photos & I was so excited. It’s been forever since I’ve felt so excited to be blogging again & the feeling is intoxicating. I definitely know that my non-fiction teacher helped me so much with my writing. Even if I still write scentences longer than the Iliad.

I got my reading game back! This one was I think, thanks to reading sprints. We created a small group chat on instagram and spent a few days doing reading sprints and I got so hooked back into reading that I just kept going, it feels SO good to be reading again, I can’t even put it into words.

And obviously, the big one, Christmas.

WHAT DID I READ IN DECEMBER?

For the last few months leading up to december I’ve been managing to read two, maybe three books a month, so this pile, while small to my old average of 10-15 books, is something I am happy with.

FALL – Kristen Callihan

STAR RATING 4

Fall was a cute Romance that is band related, I swooned & laughed. It was the perfect lighthearted start to the month.

THE RIFT – Rachel Craw

STAR RATING 4

This was REALLY good, check out my full review here.

9 FROM THE NINE REALMS – Rick Riordan

STAR RATING 3

This was funny & strange in great ways, even if it wasn’t quite for me. Check out my full review here.

SWAN KINGDOM – Zoe Marriot

STAR RATING 2,5

I had such high hopes for you, and you crushed them. Check out my quick thoughts here on goodreads.

TRANSCRIPTION – Kate Atkinson

STAR RATING 2

Wow….. this was, such a let down. Check out my review here

KILLING COMMENDATORE – Haruki Murakami

STAR RATING 3

Honestly, I am still baffled by this book and I can’t yet tell if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. My review for it will be up in a few days!

So, how did your December go & what do yo think of this kind of wrap up ?
