The Reader Problems Booktag

I found this tag on Misty’s Book Space and thought her answers were so good I had to try it out myself check out her version once you’ve read mine!

You have 20,000 books on your TBR, how do you decide what to read next?

I don’t. I curl into a ball and cry in despair. Life is cruel and unusual, and this is my eternal torment. LISTEN, you might think I’m being dramatic but I’m really not. I spent twenty minutes staring at my 132 book TBR and sweating till my friend told me what book to read.

You’re halfway through a book and you’re just not loving it. Do you put it down or are you committed?

That depends on the length of the book. If I have less than 200 pages, I’ll always keep going, any more and its a DNF for me.

The end of the year is coming and you’re behind on your reading challenge. Do you try to catch up? And if so, how?

Desperately so. I don’t know why I’m so obsessed with numbers but I truly am. I feel the need to read more and more books each year, and if I don’t I’m disappointed in myself. I’d try to catch up by reading all my smaller books honestly.

The covers of a series you love do not match, how do you cope?

This is the beauty of rainbow bookshelves, if they don’t match then they’re not normally going to be the same colour and paired together, so they get separated and no one can tell.

Everyone and their mother loves a book that you do not. Who do you bond with over your shared feelings?

Goodreads. There is always SOMEONE who hates a book on goodreads.

You’re reading a book in public and you’re about to start crying. How do you deal?

See, I cry SO easily. If I’m too happy I cry, if I’m sad, if I’m angry. So the minute those tear ducts start leaking that book is going in the time out zone till I’m home alone.

The sequel to a book you loved just came out but you’ve forgotten a lot of what happens. Are you going to reread it?

Sometimes. If my review pile of books isn’t toooooooo high, then I will, otherwise I’ll read an in depth outline.

You do not want anyone to borrow your books, how do you politely say no when someone asks?

There’s nothing polite about me when it comes to my books. There are four people I would lend them to, no one else. I just say I don’t lend my books out if anyone else asks.

You have picked up and put down 5 books in the last month. How do you get over this reading slump?

Normally, slumps can last quite a while for me and it sucks. I tend to let myself DNF as many books as I need to and pick up a new book again and again until something catches my interest.

There are so many books coming out that you are dying to read. How many do you end up buying?

I try to buy as few as possible but knowing me I’ve already brought them all.

After you purchase all of these books that you’re dying to read, how long do they sit on your shelf before you read them?

A year? ten years? fifty? a century? So long that the pages are no longer pages, but the mulch under a young tree? Yeah, probably that last one.

Thanks for reading friends, If you want to do this, consider yourself tagged! tag me so I can see your answers
