WHAT IS THIS?

This is where I write mini-reviews for books I’ve read each month, that AREN’T review books. I find mini-reviews are a more relaxing way to do things and who doesn’t love the number 3?

CROOKED KINGDOM
LEIGH BARDUGO
5 STARS

Is there anyone on the planet that doesn’t know of this story? This is the aftermath of SIX OF CROWS. Where a gang of cutthroats try to pull off an impossible mission. This time we see them recuperating and enacting vengeance in the best ways.
I adored Six Of Crows, and crooked kingdom was no different. Honestly, I loved it even more. I think I did because I had already come to love these characters so every hurt to them, hurt me, and every triumph felt great. The characters were so well developed, the plot was jumping around in an unpredictable fashion that kept everything exciting, and honestly? I couldn’t put this book down. This is the perfect Heist and friendship group.

DAISY JONES AND THE SIX
TAYLOR JENKINS REID
4.5 STARS

OOF.
I feel like everyone knows what this is. but this is a fictional retelling of the rise and fall of a band called Daisy Jones and the Six. It’s told via interviews and it is addictive and enthralling.
This was, amazing. I binged it in two days for the BUZZWORDATHON, and I regret nothing. The whole time you’re reading this you constantly have to remind yourself this band isn’t real, that you cant go watch the music videos they talk about, or listen to their songs. You come to hate and love characters and it just feels like a real look into rock ‘n roll. Honestly, the hype makes sense for this one and I really want to read Evelyn Hugo now.

PUNK 57
PENELOPE DOUGLAS
4 STARS

Hi I read this all in a day?
This is a story about Two people who were made to write letters to each other, and then continued to do so for years, before Misha stopped replying. Then a hate to love relationship comes in and secrets unravel.
I found this thanks to a booktubers recommendations, brought it, and read it all in one day. It was just fun and romantic, unbelievable and honestly? Just a great time. I loved their dynamic, I found the writing to be easy to read and it was the perfect length. I don’t need my romance novels to be anything more than fun, and this was just, one of the best ones I’ve ever read honestly.
