Mid month check in.

Hey bookworms,
we’re back for one of my favourite posts to write, my mid month check in. This is where we just relax, look at some pretty pictures and talk briefly about how my month has been so far and what my aims are for the rest of the month.

It’s a time to relax and wind down, so feel free to grab something warm to drink while you sit down and read this post.

WHAT I’VE BEEN UP TO

I finished semester 1 of university late last month and spent the first week pretty much sleeping and turning into a couch potato with absolutely no regrets. But as I came out of that slumpy time, I started reading more, I learned how to knit and I got back into y’know, being healthy. It’s been nice not thinking about accounting and business concepts and instead of getting lost in so many books and worlds.

It’s nothing super exciting, as you all know the world is still in turmoil but it’s been a good two weeks of just looking after myself and making sure I’m getting back into healthy habits that I can hopefully carry over into next semester.

WHAT I’M CURRENTLY READING

I do kind of wish I was reading the pictured novel. Currently, as of writing this (4 days before posting it) I’m reading REVENGE OF THE SITH ! There will be a star wars post + an explanation for whats going on with my star wars love coming soon.

HOWEVER, I think it might be due time to switch to a non star wars book very soon so this might be what I pick up, or could be reading right now depending on how fast I read.

READING GOALS

Let’s talk about where I am with my reading goals!

Read/Unhaul 10 2019 books: 0 Absolutely no movement on this currently. All my planned reads for this month (WHICH CAN BE SEEN HERE) Are 2020 purchases. However, I’m moving all my books to my new place this weekend all going well, so when I do that I might unhaul a few!

Read 10 non novels & 9 novels: I’ve currently read 3 manga (non novels) and 1 novel! Great on the non novel front, not so great on the other. I need to work on reading my current read and another one.

Keep Manga TBR under 25: Well my manga TBR has gone down 3 and I haven’t had any new ones arrive so, progress!

Keep 2020 TBR under 30: Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. I blame a friend for always wanting to get rid of some amazing books so I just HAVE to grab them. Completely not my fault ok?

Read something that isn’t YA, Star wars or Manga: I have literally only read star wars and manga this month oops. Let’s see if I can squeeze the girl and all the stars in! (I believe it’s classified as adult not YA)

REST OF THE MONTH PLANS

Well, I’m back at uni come Monday, so a lot of my plans will be to study as much as I can and keep ontop of healthy habits. Besides that I really want to work on getting my TBR finished, and to also watch Revenge of the Sith with a friend once I finish the book!

There’s not going to be much going on so that’s the end of the post!

Thank you for sitting down and reading this post, I hope you have a wonderful day
